Being aunty
I found it quite hard to get to sleep in a strange bed and a new house but in the end I got a reasonable night.
I got up early so as to maximise time with the kiddies before I left. My sister was kind enough to say how good she thinks I am with them both. I said that I loved spending quality time with them, which she already knows! I hope she'll feel confident enough to have me look after them some more over time.
I gave Teddy his first taste of marmite on toast. It seems he's a lover not a hater! I ended up babysitting again for 40 minutes while C did a quick shop for their lunch guests and S slept. We had a lovely time, playing duplo, singing songs and teaching body parts and animals. Teddy seemed to enjoy my snapping crocodile and spider feeler impressions and had a go himself!
I headed off at 10.30 for Brackley for another sweep round the Antiques Cellar, this time for a bedside table or chest of drawers for the new single bedroom. I saw a few options but want to see just what I can move around at home first before investing. I also popped in to Boycott Farm for a few choice treats.
When I got home, I continued to sort through some of mine and B's stuff and I've found that there really isn't much left now. I've earmarked Tuesday afternoon to get rid of the last of it. Then I just need to sort through the last remaining filing cabinet and get shot of that and I'll be as clear as I've ever been at this house.
I've had the Saints v Sarries match from Stadium MK yesterday on the telly this afternoon and it looks to have been a corker. Presently, Saints are just ahead for the first time. I feel sure they can win this.
