aargh! we realised today that tomorrow is our last day. just as well we checked the flights...they're at half past midnight. feeling cheated of a day.

so, off with our directions, we headed to the marina bay sand hotel...the one with the ship on top to see the views from up there. I'm not usually into seeing things from up high, but this was amazing - who designs a hotel with a ship on top? and because singapore is so built up with huge buildings on one side and the sea with hundreds of boats on the other, the views were stunning (and it was hot, even with the breeze).

then we got a bit lost and walked for miles to the national gallery. there wasn't too much on there, but it was worth it because there was a commemorative exhibition on about the recently deceased lee kwan yew who was THE guy who made singapore what it is now. he was some guy and there is a lot of love and affection for him in singapore.

home to the pool, an ace bbq by UT the barbie-king and some night swimming - perfect!
