blue lagoon

it was freeeeezing outside and snowing when we arrived here, I was concerned that the blue lagoon wouldn't be warm enough...but I was wrong! it was amazing - very hot with pockets of really very hot water, all smelling like rotten eggs but kind of fresh at the same time. we had to sit out of after a while as we were getting too hot, but one minute later we were back in, using the volcanic body scrubs and algae face masks. so many men with face masks on - hilarious! we had a few beers at the bar, sat in the sauna for 10 minutes, stood under the waterfall, conditioned our hair to hell and back then headed back to reykjavik for late afternoon. it snowed a lot and got really windy in the evening so we didn't venture far...early start for our golden circle tour in the morning.

what an ace day, we felt great after the blue lagoon.
