Literary doors 4

Well, congratulations to all those who identified Prof Adam Fergusson, who has a University Building named after him.   A very young Walter Scott met Robert Burns during the time he was being lionised in Edinburgh.  That was in Fergusson's town house at a soiree in the winter of 1786-7.

Today's must get harder still (Talpa, Knottman and others.).... it's a little cheat, because the house where this figure was born was actually opposite but now demolished.  In the 1890's he maybe had them all singing "Let's all go down the Strand..."
