Annual National Honor Society Blood Drive
This is a picture of Hunter and me at our school’s annual Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by the National Honor Society. We were told to pose and this was the outcome. This year our blood drive was very successful and we surpassed our goal. We were able to donate 59 units of blood which can potentially help 177 people. Everything was set up in the gym before 9 and everything was taken down and loaded up before the day ended at 3. I had the job of being an escort. I had to walk everyone from the donation area over to the canteen where they had to sit for a period of time and they had the opportunity to enjoy some of the donated refreshments that were there. This year we followed a Dr. Seuss theme. Therefore, we had various Dr. Seuss oriented decorations, a cut out, and food. For members of the National Honor Society, we got a full day out of classes in order to volunteer. As always, it was a great experience and it was all for a great cause. We were happy with our turnout and we hope that there will be just as much of a success next year.
