San Francisco will be "Forever Young" Long May It Live, it is a beautiful place to be and as much as I rant and rail against tourist (and Lord knows I Do) they - the decent one or two - have their reasons for coming and they are very much welcomed!!

People come and people go in our lives and while we "think" we'll stay in touch, we really don't. Of course we lie on that topic again and again. So when we are informed of their deaths, why are we surprised? Just a thought

If over the next four days I seem ignorant to world events, it's because, well I will be. She has decided to severely limit my access to "news" since, it pretty much disturbs the hell out of me!

What? earthquakes, police 'stupidity', riots, cable news redundancy and the general idiocy of people everywhere. It's enough to make me want to puke!

So, She has unplugged the 'idiot box', turned off the radio (including reruns of Sir Terry's Sunday program) removed my iPad newsfeed and pretty much become my Nanny. God bless her!

Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford seem so far (yeah I know) away from me now!

The photo above was found this morning in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill, I had hoped it contained colourfully wrapped chocolates, instead, I found 'air'!
