Gross Beaks

Naw...that's Grosbeaks.  Black-headed Grosbeaks to be exact.  The female on the right, the darker male on the left.

This was shot from a very  long distance.  In fact, I couldn't make out what kind of bird I was seeing with the naked eye.  It took the birder who was next to me to catch them.  She had an eagle eye...and a pair of high-powered binoculars.  Cheater.
