Wingspan

We made it to Australia after a 2 hour delay at Dallas before the marathon flight direct to Sydney. This flight is the longest commercial flight available anywhere in the world - flying time 16 hours and 20 mins. The 2 hour delay meant we were sitting in the sardine can seats for 18 and half hours!
Slight compensation was offered in the shape of my first flight on the behemoth Airbus A380 - here is a shot of the wing - the full span is over 80 meters - and the plane holds close to 500 people - if only they could justify making it 450 and give us an extra 2 cms of leg room that would make all the difference!
