Table-side Cooking
We dined this evening at a very fancy, though it was touted as casual, restaurant just down from where we are staying here in Mexico City. La Masion Steakhouse in the Reforma Marriott Hotel got excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, so we decided to give it a try. It was everything the reviews promised. Wonderful food, impeccable service, great wine list and stunning decor. My wife and I both had steaks that were cooked table-side on mini-grills. This is my Sherry steak being prepared to perfection. The best part was they cooked only a small portion. Once that was finished, they cooked another and then another until the entire steak (which they had previously cut and marinated as we observed) was completed. Nothing like having hot food delivered on a continuous basis. A magical evening spent with our friends from Washington State.
