Level Crossing
8.2C at the Met.Office weather station at Leuchars (local weather station shows 13.9C but I doubt its data more often than not these days) starting with bright and sunny spells, with heavy showers developing through the afternoon. Wind to 22 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch, hoping to miss the showers. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing.
For Wide Angle Wednesday: Signs and Symbols (widwed09) I thought this shot from the beach side of the level crossing might fit the bill. I normally take the shot from just by the cycle path, showing the view up the half mile across the fields to the school and church. Today I liked the line of light at the top of the fields.
Down on the beach the tide was well out and the beach was empty. Silver Cat was moored near the beach in the channel through the rocks. The rain arrived so we sheltered by the fishermen's huts for a few minutes.
We walked along East Row then came back over the road bridge over the railway line and back up the main road and round to home taking shelter from another shower by stopping where there were trees by garden fences.
