to be down the Dump

I am a frequent visitor to our local amenity site and which is in the North of the Island.

Having done up several houses over the years I have made good use of this site and its predecessor at the Point of Ayre.

i quite often find myself in conversation with Ray, seen here.  

Initially there was only a small amount of sorting of waste done.  However there are now more and more compartments in which to place material.  This one is for scrap metal.  There is a smaller one for brass, copper, aluminium and lead.  These metals are then sold to help cover the cost of running the site.

Oh and it is also the home of harrods.  This is where people can leave unwanted goods which can then be re-used by others.
