Parkinson's

A friend, Shay Healy made a surprise appearance last night at a fund raiser we had organized for a grand nephew now living in Australia and not yet covered by any health system. The photo shows three former winners of the Eurovision. Shay as a songwriter in 1980 with What's Another Year and Paul Harrington and  Charlie McGettigan in 1994 with Rock & Roll Kids.
In 2004, Shay was diagnosed with the degenerative disorder Parkinson's disease. This has nor stopped him performing. He remains an inspiration to those around him and both on and off stage a pleasure to listen to.
The night was a great success with standing room only in the pub and lots of money raised......just saying
