Today should have been a good day
But instead, it's a bad day

Should be the party
Not the onlooker

But foresight
Only sees
The barrel's end
And a trigger
Be it metaphorical
Or hard reality
Once pulled
Has to run its course
The bullet
To fly
A target to hit
I pray
That the wound
Is not a fatal one
