The Braehead, Avoch
Isn't it gorgeous? I know absolutely nothing about this lovely boat but it was just crying out for a photo. Thank goodness it was dustbin day or I wouldn't have noticed it. I initially drove along the Braehead, which is a beautiful, narrow, dead end road, to photograph the roofs of the village below, but got stuck and couldn't turn round because it was dustbin day and you know how considerate they are towards other motorists!
So drove further on to keep out of their way and lo and behold spotted this lovely boat. I must admit the dustbin men were very polite and thanked me for pulling in and waiting until they had gone by. I couldn't really do anything else as I would prefer not to be mown down by a lorry. I had that happen once, many years ago, on the M1 but that is another story altogether. Mind you that Portuguese lorry driver was also very polite but I wasn't in a fit state at the time to appreciate it.
