Untenable

Angus left his job today. He handed his notice in and told his employers it was untenable for him to continue working for them and have a family life.

We met for a spontaneous lunch and made some loose plans (how we're going to pay the new, big mortgage and little things like that - eek!) He's now home tonight and won't be going back as they have put him on gardening leave with immediate effect.

We had a lovely, daft evening with Squidge. I think she could sense the release of tension in the air. We all had fish and chips for tea and played lots of silly games (see pic of her tickling my feet!)

Feeling relieved, lighter and yet slightly anxious about the future tonight. It's a strange feeling.

Going to make sure Angus has lots of sleep, rest and see where we go from there.....
