Lapwing chick(one week on)

Been back yesterday and this morning and saw BOTH of the little Red-wattled Lapwing chicks, although one is a bit bolder than the other as you can see! They've survived a week of Eagles, Marsh Harriers, Crows, Rollers, wadi dogs and snakes! This one was having a cool off in the water which is why he(or she) looks a bit bedraggled! My son who is not keen on birds said 'You didn't tell me you see Ostriches!' And yes he does look a bit like one except he's less than five inches tall! Great to see them.
