Little Ringed Plover

Here is the male Little Ringed Plover, his change for summer breeding plumage is the bright yellow eye ring and the darker eye and neck bar. I'm so pleased to see him, because I've been seeing his mate all on her own for some time, hopefully they have a nest somewhere, although the chances of seeing their little chicks is pretty unlikely as this bird fully grown is so tiny to start with!
