This little piggy

Poor son number one has had a lot of problems with his big toe recently. 
I took him to see a friend from book group who is a podiatrist tonight and she had a look and tried to make it less painful for him to walk. His job involves being on his feet all day so he's been very uncomfortable. He now has a very neat toe bandage and instructions on how to look after the toe so he might avoid an operation later in the month. 

We both carried out her parting instructions which were to have a stiff drink when we got home.
