Beat the street

These boxes have appeared in our neighbourhood this week. They are part of a scheme to encourage walking and cycling - the idea is that you tap a card on each beat box you pass when on a walk or cycle. You can win prizes and contribute to a team effort. If the town manages to travel 300000 miles and complete the 8 week challenge, a £3000 prize fund will be released for team prizes and £4000 will be donated to the local Cancer Charity. Beat the street

I picked my card up today and used it on the boxes around the campus. There aren't many near me but I'll have to look out for them next time I'm in town.
