Wasp beetle

No chance for a lunchtime walk today as I was in a briefing session about a CPD qualification that I might be able to take part in. 

Had a look round the garden when I got home and found this beautiful wasp beetle on one of the pond plants. It appeared to be scraping the surface of the leaf. There were also some very tiny speckled bush cricket nymphs around. Good to see the insects coming back into the garden.
