Land Lubbers

Everywhere if you looked closely enough there were lubber grasshoppers! On chairs, in the shrubs  and even one climbing our umbrella by the pool!

Very slow moving and quite cute really at about 4 cms long. Quite fascinating to watch as their almost stealthy movements and vivid stripes made them stand out for a blip and not at all scary Neither did they mind being watched. Here two are sunning themselves on top of a post!

Last day today and thank goodness the weather is just fantastic with blue skies, sun and a slight breeze. Perfect, especially after the torrential rains of earlier in the week!
