Green Veined White

We decided to get out to the nature reserve for a walk as it looks like being the best day weather wise. It was lovely there until someone on the other side of the river lit a huge bonfire and all the smoke blew right in our direction, even though the fire was some way off the smoke was revolting, so we left to explore a nature reserve a few villages away that we have never been to before. It turned out to be really well kept and quite a pleasant place but the big disadvantage was the fact that it partly borders the mainline railway. We didn't realise that this was the case until we were walking along a pathway and a train thundered past on the other side of the hedge but less than 12 feet away from us!!!.........I nearly leapt out of my skin at the noise, squealed and grabbed hubby who nearly collapsed laughing at me (aren't men rotten!!)........needless to say if we return another day, I won't be walking along that particular pathway again :-)))
