A walk taking in the mouth of the Aln...

and a spot of blossom too!
A lovely walk along the beach, up the estuary a short way and across the fields to Lesbury, where this shot was taken. Then along the river, past the golf course(s) to the beach again, and the higher route back to Alnmouth, with great sea views. Didn't see many people, but it was a bit of a chilly, wild and windy day - an invigorating excursion!
The extra photos today are of the boats bobbing about in the estuary ( or beached on their bilge keels ), and the beacon celebrating the 400th anniversary of the victory over the Spanish Armada.
