Extended family

Well, I am nicely tired at this end of the day. I woke earlier than I would have liked at 7. I emerged at 9 to have a relaxed breakfast with J and W. I mowed the grass first thing and then we pottered all morning as well as skyping with C and Co in Aus so W could catch up before they head back to Aus this week. The surprise was that they've taken delivery of a new puppy. A pugalier, being a cross between and pug and a Cavalier King Charles spaniel. She's been named a Clover and looks very cute indeed. They are all smitten they say!

And there's a new royal princess today. Hip hip hurray!

PPP+H arrived around 2pm and we had a sit down salad lunch (with a very nice bottle of Welsh white wine) so they could all share their news. Late in the day we went to C and S's so as and J could see their new house and meet Tilly. We were treated to a very impressive Indian banquet, all home cooked. I spoiled Tilly with a gorgeous new summer romper suit with big red cherries all over it. Teddy was a delight as ever, 'cheers-ing' me with his water cup against my glass. He was given a big red London bus as a present too and loved that. After dinner we all relaxed around the open fire and chewed the fat.

A lovely but non stop day.
