Ceanothus
The first day of my four day weekend was super.
I slept very heavily last night and woke refreshed. I had to deal with a couple of tweaks at work on the email and then relaxed by heading over to C's for 1pm, though I did get stuck behind every type of lorry, digger and tractor on the way. Mind you, taking the scenic route via Sulgrave was worth it for the green and pleasant rural views.
I had the camera out all day and practised on Teddy and C's garden. My blip is my first with the new camera, practising with the macro lens. I'm pleased with this shot, sooc, I must say.
We played, took Teddy out to see the cows and alpacas beyond the fence, watched Teddy deal with pasta spirals, cleared up green snot, covered some old baby milk powder tins with pretty paper to make useful pots, made banana and chocolate muffins and pea fritters for baby to try, and quality controlled them (yum). It was a marvellously relaxed and productive day and I was sorry to leave at 5.45pm.
On the way home, I stopped to practise a few telephoto shots of some bluebell woods I spied (and had to do a Paula Radcliffe behind the car!)
I got home to find L had not only kindly mown the grass but also started a lasagne, so it'll be lasagne and garlic bread in front of the rugby (Bath v Saints) tonight followed by Masterchef.
Happy Bank holidays!
