Mirror Lake, Yosemite
Jena, Rosie, Ian and I grabbed a big coffee each from the sweet wee coffee shop across the road from Ian's house before hitting the road for Yosemite. It took us about four hours to reach Yosemite from San Francisco and we had a few breaks on the way. Once we were there we checked into Camp Curry where we were staying for the night before heading straight out to get into some hiking. We stopped at a few view points on the way, including tunnel view, where you could see the whole of the Yosemite Valley spread out before you, before heading up to Bridalveil falls, which was a impressively high waterfall. We then went on to hike up to Vernal fall. As we got there the sun was setting and it caught the mist of the waterfall creating beautiful double rainbows surrounding the falls. After the hike we headed back to curry village for pizza and a comfortable night in our heated tent.
