Promotion!

The football team I supported as a youngster have fallen on very hard times lately. They dropped out of the football league, went bankrupt and had to start again at the very bottom of the non-league pyramid.

Today, Darlington won its second promotion in three years. Next season they'll play in the premier division of the Northern Premier League. Another step back towards respectability.
