Scenes from everyday life

The Old and the New

After a lazy morning today I took the train to London Bridge and walked along the South Bank, across Hungerford Bridge and through St James's Park to catch the train home from Victoria.

11,500 steps according to my Fitbit, which is good for my fitness programme.

I took a few photos on the way with my 10 year old Nikon D70*. I rather like this one: the tower of St Mary Overie - now Southwark Cathedral - the tallest building round here when it was built in the 11th century up against The Shard, the tallest in London today.

* I have a museum of digital cameras here and like to give each of them a run out from time to time.
