Bowood 2015 #20: Rhododendron Gardens (26th April)

This is Keeper's Lodge which is at the entrance to Bowood's Rhododendron Gardens. I wanted to capture it while the tree was in blossom.

After the previous day's visit had been a failure photographically speaking I wanted to return as soon as possible to recapture the gardens at the same stage, this time not attempting any HDR experiments. I revisited the Jubilee Garden, sat in the same bench seat, walked around the circular path, and was waved to by Lord Lansdowne, who drove into the garden using a 4x4 this time, as I was completing the circuit.

This time I also ventured into other parts of the grounds and took a couple more photographs (included in the album below), though the blossoming bushes have yet to reach their peak.

The Extra photos show the view of the Jubilee Garden from the bench seat, taken with my iPad, and two treatments. One uses the iPad's Painteresque app in its Rainbow style, and the other adds to that by using Fast Stone's Oil Painting filter, by which time the scene looks almost unreal.
