Today's the day ....................... to ask questions

Fifty of them actually - and all about Scottish singers and bands from the 1950s to the present day.

It was Quiz Night at the George Hotel in Moniaive and we were one of the teams taking part.  By 'we' - I mean, Will and I and Rob and Anna.  Now you would think that, between us, we would have those decades covered.  In reality, I have to say that we struggled to recognise quite a lot of what DJ Noky was playing us little snippets of.  To be fair to us, his knowledge of Scottish bands would definitely come into the geekish category.  Also, in order to qualify as a Scottish band, it seemed that you only needed, for example, your base guitarist to be born north of the border!

But it was all huge fun - and although we didn't come anywhere near winning, we laughed a lot.  And all that knowledge gained is all going to come in very handy when I get to be a contestant on Pointless........................
