Bachelor Boy

I’m not very keen on having Wood Pigeons in the garden gobbling up all the bird food put out for the smaller wild birds, pecking at the young shoots in the vegetable garden and leaving deposits on our cars, to name but a few of their unwelcome traits but Hop-a-long is different;  he’s been around in our garden for quite a few years but still a bachelor, I think, despite numerous one night stands!  At this time of year he’s trying his best to woo the ladies and his displaying tactics are a sight to behold with his one wonky wing and a gammy leg.  He makes all of us ladies smile!!
 

Day 2 of retirement has been as busy as ever and I’m so sorry I’m so behind with comments – hopefully life will return to a slower pace in the days to come??
