International relations

Today I met up with a relative and a future addition to the family. On the Irish side of the family is my cousin Fred who lives in Dublin, now retired from the Irish civil service.

His elder daughter Grainne lives in Edinburgh and we met up at North Berwick as she visited her great aunt, my mother, along with her fiancé Anibal. Anibal comes from Chile and can trace his roots through his great grandfather to Genoa, Italy.

The world is becoming a smaller place and on this occasion a happier one!
