Squ......eeeeek!

I filled up the bird feeders this morning, and decided while I was at it, I'd put some more peanuts in the chimney pots for the squirrels.

I'd dropped the first handful in, when I saw something move.....fast. I was terrified it might be a big spider!

You can imagine my relief when I bravely peered into the darkness and saw this little field mouse at the bottom.

I had another look a little while after and he was still in there; I assumed since he got in he would be able to get out, but maybe not, so I tilted the pot back so he could escape.....which he did at full speed!
