The Hawk & The Crow

The heron romance is progressing nicely. Yesterday he was bringing home twigs and arranging them. Today, she has joined in the nest-building, too. It's wonderful to watch him come home with a twig in his beak and pass it to her. He stretches tall and then bows low to her, spreading out his feathers. He seems to have won her heart. <3

The hawk pair are interesting to watch, too, but worrisome. The adult herons are too big for a hawk to grab (I think!), but what about the future heron chicks?
