A Twig For The Nest

My young friend Zoe has helped me to name the herons, so that I don't have to refer to them just as "he" and "she."  May I introduce you to Prince and Lady Violet?

When Prince (named for his courtly behavior) brings home a twig, he stretches tall and then bows low toward his lady, spreading his feathers. She seems to approve, and is now helping him to arrange the twigs for a nest.
