Highland coos

After a late breakfast and the opening of cards and presents, Daughter#2 and I set off for a drive to the Trossachs with the intention of walking round Loch Katrine in the lovely sunshine.

On the way we stopped to photograph these local characters beside Loch Achray, then arrived at Loch Katrine to find the car-park choc-a-bloc, so carried on to Little Drum Wood, where we enjoyed the woodland walk without the Bank Holiday crowds. There were several interesting sculptures in the woods, one of which I've added as an extra blip.

We ended up in Callander, which, unsurprisingly, was hoaching, but managed to get into Mhor Bread for a very tasty lunch before the homeward journey.

A happy, memorable birthday!
