#4 Penelope Tree

Today's tune is "Penelope Tree" by Felt, one of my favourite bands of the 1980s. I didn't know that Penelope Tree was the name of an English fashion model who was active in the 60s and 70s, but somehow this tree in a cemetery park reminded me of the song. I wouldn't have known Felt if Stuart Murdoch, the frontman of Belle and Sebastian, hadn't mentioned the band in an interview. The vocalist sings in a peculiar way, but this band, from Birmingham, makes fantastic sounds, highly recommended.
