Long, busy day. One of ups and downs.
More ups than downs, and the ups came at the end.
One was phoning my cousin and finding out he's made peace with his sister. They fell out a few years back when she split up with her last man. Took an uncle's funeral to get them talking again, but he was 89 and had dementia. Every cloud...
Another was reading a review in The National of last night's election TV debate (in Scotland). The journalist writes thus of "Creepy Jim" Murphy...
"He only has three strategies: shouting, telling sad stories or using football analogies"
On "Wee Willie" Rennie... she writes
"Rennie... made another foolish point when he spoke out against tactical voting, despite his discredited, ragtag party using it furiously to try to keep Alex Salmond out..."
Her conclusion...
"We need a politics where men like Jim Murphy are ashamed to yell, not smugly proud to do so."
Lovely stuff.
Last but not least, about 5pm when I'd disconnected the PC from the national grid, I went over to Kinghorn and sat on the pier at Pettycur Bay. What a contrast to yesterday. Calm, warm and sunny. I Blipped it.
