Stilettos on the stairgate

This pretty much sums up today. My shoes from last night hanging on the stairgate when I woke up this morning. Mother meets party girl!

It took us a while to get going after nursery drop off fuelled by pancakes and maple syrup at the local cafe.

We picked up speed in the afternoon and got a surprising amount achieved chucking out and semi-packing reader for the movers who start tomorrow afternoon. A trip to the tip and and B&Q for lightbulbs, tools and new door handles.

Then we picked Squidge up together (not sure she could have run across that nursery playground any faster) and swung by Beech Road to meet a friend and their new tiny baby. Awwwww!

Angus is busy doing DIY tonight and I'm on the sofa with a well earned cuppa after bathtime. I'm secretly loving having him off work and it's so great to spend time together again. Am slowly but surely remembering what life used to be like together. And I like it.
