Western Tanager

This time I had a camera when I saw this bird! He was one of the birds I was very upset I missed photographing a few days ago!!! He and his mate seem to be hanging around my suet feeder. I hope to get a shot of the female too! I had never seen these birds before this week. Now I have seen him several days in a row!

Nice day, except for one very black cloud that dumped rain and hail on me. It lasted about 10 minutes! Unfortunately I was on the other side of town at the time and we had NO rain at my house. My yard really needs the rain. I was hoping to wait awhile before I had to turn on my sprinklers.
