Bempton Cliffs

Last year we went to the Farne Islands. We weren't there for the Puffin season though which greatly saddened Master B. Bempton Cliffs is a hop and a skip from Sewerby and as it's renowned for puffins, and as it's puffin season we planned to go a-puffin-hunting! The weather was stunning. The cliffs spectacular. The gannets and razor bills etc. all did not disappoint. But there were no puffins. They were all sitting in burrows or out fishing at sea. Mr B and I spotted one through an RSPB telescope, bobbing on the water far below, but it was TINY and the kids didn't see it at all. The hunt goes on!

Fish and chips for tea on the seafront. Rude not to.

It's been a great weekend. Such a relaxing place.
