Baby Great Horned Hooter

A trio of young Great Horned Owls reside in a tall Joshua tree in my mom's neighborhood.  I was able to get a look at one of them on this windy day.  Its ear tufts were blowing and it seemed to be puffed up, possibly to protect itself from the wind. Of course, I haven't seen it on other days, so I don't know whether or not that is its normal size.
