Civil Engineering

The various buildings of the engineering faculty are mostly joined together, so (if I knew the way) I can walk through mechanical, civil, and electrical, all without getting wet.  Civil has a rather fine stained glass window over the entrance, which I should come back and photograph properly sometime - this was me catching a few snaps on the iPhone and hoping no one would notice (this is often a feature of my photography).

I was passing this way because this morning I was attending a 'welcome to the faculty' coffee and biscuits with the Dean, followed this afternoon by a 'welcome to the university' two-hour-long thing.  The consequence of which was that I had far too much coffee and later found myself in a slightly odd state of mind in the gym, brave enough to use the squat rack and an unfamiliar resistance machine.  Then pilates with multiple instances of cramp.  I suspect I will regret it tomorrow.
