Carbonade of Beef and Roasted Rhubarb

A sore day for me. Cut my lip shaving and sliced finger on glass while in the greenhouse but the most painful of all was a tumble out in the garden. I was trying to put a fence panel back that had blown out in the wind.

As I was holding it, standing on top of some rocks when a gust of wind blew the panel into me, pushing me off the rocks, through a thorny bush into the area where I'm digging the pond. I couldn't stop myself and kept falling, over the low brick wall an onto the path finally banging my head on the sill of the conservatory window. A few scratches and bruises but it could have been much worse.

Earlier I'd had a good run, done 1/2 a day's work and made the beef dish and the roasted rhubarb ready for when it is our turn to cook for 8 next week in Richmond.
