Today I enjoyed my first ever Mayday

Finally the day has come. Padstow town is looking beautiful with the flags, the maypole and the greenery. My whites have been washed and ironed for weeks and my ribbon and neckerchief are at the ready. I've been waiting for today since my first experience of Mayday in Mummy's tummy last year. As she danced around I enjoyed the music and was kicking her tummy in time to the drums. But this year I got to experience the magic of Mayday from the outside...
We started the day with breakfast at Aunty Zoe's and then I had a little nap with Grannie whilst Mummy went to watch the OSS come out (in the rain).
When I caught up with Mummy later that morning I loved listening to the accordians and drums in the band and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the OSS for the first time! I wasn't scared at all and I just wanted to get a bit closer.
We had a really lovely day, I did lots of dancing and signing. I can't wait for next year already! OSS OSS!
