Angel with a gas mask

(Or to call it by its proper title "The Angel of Purification")

Over the Easter break we took a trip to Ghent (beautiful, historic city - I can thoroughly recommend) and during a boat trip around the canals we passed this interesting sculpture.  Apparently (according to our guide), it's a statement on how we are polluting the world.  He also told us that the statue is for sale - the locals are not fond of it!  Personally, although it looks a bit like an extra from a Doctor Who episode, I quite like it.  If I had a few extra thousand Euros to spare I might splash out.  Sadly, I don't.  For those who do....I guess you could enquire at the local tourist office!
