Eathie Woods and Beach

A new walk for the dogs and I today with our good friends Sheila and Freddie.

Such a beautiful day, is this a good omen for Scotland. I do hope so.

We walked down through the woods to Eathie Beach, which is well known as a fossil beach, but we didn't find any. The dogs loved the stony beach, full of smells to explore and seaweed, but they were very good today and left it alone most of the time. The shore line is covered in Spring wild flowers and full of birdsong.
It was a steep walk back up but so well worth it. Another walk to add to our repertoire, a local one too, which is always a bonus.
