Magnolia #6

A busy day starting with a trip to the polling station.   Then much of the day spent at the top of a ladder treating the sofits (I think that is the right word) at the Lodge.  It is amazing how high the peak of a single story building can seem when you have a drop of six feet from the verandah to the parking space.

Due to being busy this is a bit of an emergency blip but it does follow on from my series on the development of this bud.  It all started back on the 19th Feb then there was a long break with nothing happening until number 2 on 13th April .  The next number 3 was on 19th April .   By 23rd April the flower was starting to show.  Then came the frost damage on 3rd May .  Now the flower is almost open and with any luck I will complete the series before we go away at the end of next week.
