A very wet day.
I had to go down to Appley Bridge for a meeting, so I was on the road by 8:30 and as I turned on to the motorway it started to rain. It continued all the way down sometimes heavy sometimes lighter but still wet.
The meeting went well and by 1:00 I was heading back towards the motorway and it was still raining. A quick detour into a garden centre to get something for FredaH that we couldn't find yesterday and I was back on the motorway in the rain. By the time I was back to the Lake District I was beginning to feel tired so I pulled off the motorway at Junction 37 for a rest. It was pouring down but there was a handy lay-by. When I woke after my nap I noticed the wind turbine and as I hadn't anything else in the camera too 4 shots from the car. I didn't get anything better so here it is.
I know many people are concerned about wind turbines asking if they are cost effective. All I can say is they are popping upon farms as private power supplies all over the region. Cumbrian farmers aren't famous for spending money unnecessarily so they must work.
