Braveheart

Our resident hummingbirds were not pleased this morning that I attempted to photograph their rapid comings and goings, standing on a low step stool near their feeder.

Not at all intimidated by the fact that I am nearly 2500 times heavier, this male Rufous Hummingbird made eye contact with me, the iridescent feathers on his gorget flashing a warning.

Now on to all the things I was supposed to do today!
